winter reflection

As winter descends on Melbourne; my blog posts typically reflect recipes and cooking that complement the season, including ingredients that are typically available this time of year; and although most supermarkets tend to stock quite a few out of season fruits & vegetables,  I tend too avoid those as they are generally tasteless and overly expensive.  Whilst I generally prefer the warmer months of the year; I find winter a time of reflection; enjoying the comfort of typical winter soups and stews. Spending long periods indoors slow cooking and contemplating the next blog post with a large glass of my favourite red 🙂
